Why did God close all places of worship?

MATTHEW 10:28-31
28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill
the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both
soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a
penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside
your Father’s care. 30 And even the very hairs of your head
are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more
than many sparrows.

PSALM 147:4-5
4 He determines the number of the stars and calls them each
by name. 5 Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his
understanding has no limit.

We may throw the dice, but the LORD

COLOSSIANS 1:15-17

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all
creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and
on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or
authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

MARK 11:15-18
15 On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began
driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned
the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling
doves, 16 and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through
the temple courts. 17 And as he taught them, he said, “Is it not written:
‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you
have made it ‘a den of robbers.’” 18 The chief priests and the teachers
of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they
feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching.

There was no sense of GOD’S GREATNESS in their worship.

AMOS 5:21-23

21 “I hate, I despise your religious festivals; your assemblies
are a stench to me. 22 Even though you bring me burnt
offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Though
you bring choice fellowship offerings, I will have no regard
for them. 23 Away with the noise of your songs! I will not
listen to the music of your harps.

MALACHI 1:10-11
10 “Oh, that one of you would shut the temple doors, so that
you would not light useless fires on my altar! I am not pleased
with you,” says the LORD Almighty, “and I will accept no
offering from your hands. 11 My name will be great among
the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In
every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to me,
because my name will be great among the nations,” says
the LORD Almighty.

There was no sense of GOD’S GREATNESS in their worship.

MARK 11:17

called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it ‘a den
of robbers.’”

LEVITICUS 10:1-2

1 Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and
added incense; and they offered unauthorised fire before the LORD,
contrary to his command. 2 So fire came out from the presence of the
LORD and consumed them, and they died before the LORD.

1 CORINTHIANS 11:23-27
23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus,
on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks,
he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in
remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup,
saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you
drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For whenever you eat this bread and
drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. 27 So then,
whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy
manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.

drink from the cup. 29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the
body of Christ eat and drink judgement on themselves. 30 That is why many
among you are weak and sick and a number of you have fallen asleep.
31 But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not
come under such judgement.
