JOSHUA 11:16-18
16 So Joshua took this entire land: the hill country, all the Negev,
the whole region of Goshen, the western foothills, the Arabah and
the mountains of Israel with their foothills, 17 from Mount Halak,
which rises toward Seir, to Baal Gad in the Valley of Lebanon
below Mount Hermon. He captured all their kings and put them to
death. 18 Joshua waged war against all these kings for a long time.JOSHUA 11:23
23 So Joshua took the entire land, just as the LORD had directed
Moses, and he gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their
tribal divisions. Then the land had rest from war.
The PATIENCE to ENDURE the present HARDSHIP.
ROMANS 8:22-25
22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of
childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves,
who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly
for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this
hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for
what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not YET have,
we wait for it patiently.JEREMIAH 29:11-14
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans
to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a
future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I
will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek
me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the
LORD, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you
from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares
the LORD, “and will bring you back to the place from which I
carried you into exile.”JEREMIAH 29:10
10 This is what the LORD says: “When seventy years are
completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good
promise to bring you back to this place.
a) Live in the present, face reality.
JEREMIAH 29:4-7
4 This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says to all those
I carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: 5 “Build houses and
settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce. 6 Marry and
have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your
daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters.
Increase in number there; do not decrease. 7 Also, seek the peace and
prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the
LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
b) Don’t fight what God is doing, embrace the process.
JEREMIAH 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the
LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans
to give you hope and a future.ROMANS 8:24-25
24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is

25 But if we hope for what we do not YET have, we wait
for it patiently.ROMANS 8:28-29
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good
of those who love him, who have been called according to
his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined
to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be
the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
