JEREMIAH 12:5
5 “If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you
out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe
country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?

1 CORINTHIANS 9:24-27
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets
the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who
competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a
crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last
forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do
not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I discipline my body and
make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will
not be disqualified for the prize.

The PATIENCE to ENDURE the present HARDSHIP.

The PERSISTENCE to DEFY the URGE to QUIT.

HEBREWS 10:32-35
32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when
you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. 33 Sometimes you were
publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side
by side with those who were so treated. 34 You suffered along with
those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property,
because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting
possessions. 35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly
rewarded.

HEBREWS 10:36-39
36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God,
you will receive what he has promised. 37 For, “In just a little while, he
who is coming will come and will not delay. 38 But my righteous one
will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.”
39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but
to those who have faith and are saved.

2 TIMOTHY 4:6 -7
6 For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time
for my departure is near. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished
the race; I have kept the faith.

The POWER to PREVAIL until the END.

2 CORINTHIANS 4:7
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this
all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

JOHN 16:33
33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have
peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I
have overcome the world.”
