REVELATION 19:11-16
11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose
rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. 12 His
eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name
written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13 He is dressed in a robe
dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven
were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white
and clean. 15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike
down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the
winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his
thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.REVELATION 21:1-4
1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first
earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy
City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a
bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the
throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he
will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with
them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will
be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things
has passed away.”REVELATION 21:5-8
5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then
he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 He said
to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.
To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of
life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God
and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the
murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters
and all liars - they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is
the second death.”JOHN 3:16-18; 36
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send
his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through
him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not
believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name
of God’s one and only Son.36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son
will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

The present reality of God’s wrath.
ROMANS 1:18-21
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the
godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their
wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because
God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s
invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly
seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without
excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor
gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts
were darkened.ROMANS 1:22-27
22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the
glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human
being and birds and animals and reptiles. 24 Therefore God gave them over in
the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their
bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and
worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator - who is forever
praised. Amen. 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts.
Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.
27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and
were inflamed with lust for one another.ROMANS 1:27-32
Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves
the due penalty for their error. 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it
worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a
depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have
become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They
are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,
30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of
doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no
fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree
that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do
these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

The future reality of God’s wrath.
REVELATION 14:8-11
9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships
the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their
hand, 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured
full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning
sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of
their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for
those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the
mark of its name.”REVELATION 6:15-17
15 Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty,
and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of
the mountains. 16 They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and
hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the
Lamb! 17 For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can
withstand it?”
