REVELATION 22:12-13
12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give
to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha
and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.JUDE 1:14-15
14 See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy
ones 15 to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly
acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant
words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.DANIEL 2:31-35
31 “Your Majesty looked, and there before you stood a large statue - an
enormous, dazzling statue, awesome in appearance. 32 The head of the statue
was made of pure gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of
bronze, 33 its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay.
34 While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands.
It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them. 35 Then the
iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken to pieces
and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept
them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue
became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth.DANIEL 2:36-40
36 “This was the dream, and now we will interpret it to the king. 37 Your
Majesty, you are the king of kings. The God of heaven has given you dominion
and power and might and glory; 38 in your hands he has placed all mankind and
the beasts of the field and the birds in the sky. Wherever they live, he has made
you ruler over them all. You are that head of gold. 39 “After you, another
kingdom will arise, inferior to yours. Next, a third kingdom, one of bronze,
will rule over the whole earth . 40 Finally, there will be a fourth kingdom,
strong as iron - for iron breaks and smashes everything - and as iron breaks
things to pieces, so it will crush and break all the others.
ISAIAH 9:6-7
6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will
be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the greatness of
his government and peace there will be no end He will reign on
David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal
of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.DANIEL 2: 40-43
40 Finally, there will be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron - for iron
breaks and smashes everything - and as iron breaks things to pieces, so
it will crush and break all the others. 41 Just as you saw that the feet and
toes were partly of baked clay and partly of iron, so this will be a
divided kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron in it,
even as you saw iron mixed with clay. 42 As the toes were partly iron
and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle.
43 And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people
will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes
with clay.DANIEL 2: 44-45
44 “In the time of those kings , the God of heaven will set up a kingdom
that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will
crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself
endure forever. 45 This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of
a mountain, but not by human hands - a rock that broke the iron, the
bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces. “The great God has
shown the king what will take place in the future. The dream is true and
its interpretation is trustworthy.”MATTHEW 24:1-3
1 Jesus left the temple [referring to the temple in Jerusalem] and was
walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its
buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not
one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.” 3 As
Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him
privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the
sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”MATTHEW 24:4-8
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will
come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.
6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not
alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation
will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be
famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning
of birth pains.2 THESSALONIANS 2:1-3
1 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered
to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled
or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us - whether by a prophecy or
by word of mouth or by letter - asserting that the day of the Lord has
already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day
will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is
revealed, the man doomed to destruction.2 THESSALONIANS 2:4-7
4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God
or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming
himself to be God. 5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used
to tell you these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back,
so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of
lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will
continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.2 TIMOTHY 4:1-5
1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living
and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you
this charge: 2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season;
correct, rebuke and encourage - with great patience and careful
instruction. 3 For the time will come when people will not put up with
sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather
around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears
want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn
aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure
hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your
ministry.
