PSALM 133:1-3 NKJV
1A song of Ascents. Of David.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren
to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil
upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard
of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments.
3 It is like the dew of Hermon descending upon the
mountains of Zion; for there the LORD, commanded
the blessing - life forevermore.
1. We WORSHIP together in unity.
EPHESIANS 4:1-6
1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life
worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely
humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in
love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit
through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one
Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were
called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and
Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
2. We LIVE together in unity.
PSALM 133:1-2 NKJV
1Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren
to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil
upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard
of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments.
CONFLICTS: TEST OF UNITY
a) We must have the right ATTITUDE.
MATTHEW 18:1-4
1At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the
greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2 He called a little child to him, and
placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you
change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom
of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is
the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
b) We must have the right APPROACH.
MATTHEW 18:15-17
15 “If your brother or sister sins against you, go and point out their fault,
just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them
over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that
‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three
witnesses.’ 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if
they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a
pagan or a tax collector.
PHILIPPIANS 4:2-3 NRSV
2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.
3 Yes, and I ask you also, my loyal companion, help these women, for
they have struggled beside me in the work of the gospel, together with
Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of
life.
1. We WORSHIP together in unity.
2. We LIVE together in unity.
3. We WORK together in unity.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:12-14; 26-27
12Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many
parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all
baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body - whether Jews
or Gentiles, slave or free - and we were all given the one
Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part
but of many. 26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if
one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. 27 Now you
are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
1 CORINTHIANS 12:4-7
4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit
distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the
same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all
of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 7 Now to
each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the
common good.
