1. It’s a time for THANKSGIVING

PSALM 107:1-9

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. 2 Let the
redeemed of the LORD tell their story - those he redeemed from the hand of the
foe, 3 those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south.
4 Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could
settle. 5 They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away. 6 Then they
cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.
7 He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. 8 Let them give
thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind,
9 for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

2. It’s a time for LEARNING ABOUT YOURSELF.

LAMENTATIONS 3:40
40 Let us examine our ways and test them, and let
us return to the LORD.

PSALM 119:59

59 I have considered my ways and have turned
my steps to your statutes.

2 CORINTHIANS 13:5
5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in
the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that
Christ Jesus is in you -unless, of course, you fail
the test?

3. It’s a time for IMPROVEMENT.

PSALM 139:1-4
1 You have searched me, LORD, and you know me. 2 You know
when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar
with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD,
know it completely.

PSALM 17:3

3 Though you probe my heart, though you examine me at night and test
me, you will find that I have planned no evil; my mouth has not
transgressed.

PSALM 26:2-3

2 Test me, LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; 3 for I
have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in
reliance on your faithfulness.
