ECCLESIASTES 1:1-9
1 The words of the Teacher, son of David, king in Jerusalem:
2 “Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless!
Everything is meaningless.” 3 What do people gain from all their labors at
which they toil under the sun? 4 Generations come and generations go, but
the earth remains forever. 5 The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back
to where it rises. 6 The wind blows to the south and turns to the north; round
and round it goes, ever returning on its course. 7 All streams flow into the
sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they
return again. 8 All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eye
never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing. 9 What has been
will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new
under the sun.
1. There is POWER in MONOTONY.
PROVERBS 10:4
4 Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent
hands bring wealth.
PROVERBS 13:4 NLT
4 Lazy people want much but get little, but those
who work hard will prosper.
1 CORINTHIANS 9:24-27
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets
the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who
competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown
that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight
like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make
it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be
disqualified for the prize.
2. God SHAPES us through our MONOTONOUS ROUTINE.
3. The MONONOTOUS leads to the MIRACULOUS.
ECCLESIASTES 9:10
‘Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with
all your might…’
