PSALM 1:1-6
1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the company of mockers! 2 But
his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and
night. 3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which
yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he
does, he prospers. 4 Not so the wicked . They are like chaff which the
wind blows away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
or sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6 For the LORD watches over
the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to
destruction.MATTHEW 7:13-14
13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is
the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and
only a few find it.PSALM 1:3
3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields
its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he
does, he prospers.GENESIS 13:8-13
8 So Abraham said to Lot, “Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me,
or between your herders and mine, for we are close relatives. 9 Is not the
whole land before you? Let’s part company. If you go to the left, I’ll go to the
right; if you go to the right, I’ll go to the left.” 10 Lot looked around and saw
that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the
garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt. (This was before the LORD
destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.) 11 So Lot chose for himself the whole plain
of the Jordan and set out toward the east. The two men parted company:
12 Abraham lived in the land of Canaan, while Lot lived among the cities of
the plain and pitched his tents near Sodom. 13 Now the people of Sodom were
wicked and were sinning greatly against the LORD.PSALM 1:4-6
4 Not so the wicked . They are like chaff which the wind blows away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, or sinners in the
assembly of the righteous. 6 For the LORD watches over the way of the
righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
