1 PETER 2:2-3
2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual
milk, so that by it you may grow up in your
salvation, 3 now that you have tasted that the
Lord is good.
EPHESIANS 4:11-15
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the
pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the
body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in
the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the
whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be
infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by
every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their
deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to
become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is,
Christ.
1 CORINTHIANS 3:1-3
1 Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people
who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly -
mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food,
for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not
ready. 3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy
and quarreling among you, are you not worldly?
1 CORINTHIANS 13:11
11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I
thought like a child, I reasoned like a child;
when I became an adult, I put an end to
childish ways.
CHILDISH BEHAVIORS THAT WE SHOULDN’T HAVE:
1. You want to be the center of attention.
1 CORINTHIANS 10:24
24Don’t think only of yourself. Try to think of the other
fellow, too, and what is best for him.
2. You speak about wanting and getting what you want.
3. You try to avoid taking responsibility.
GENESIS 3:12-13
12 The man said, “The woman you put here with me - she gave me some
fruit from the tree, and I ate it.” 13 Then the LORD God said to the
woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent
deceived me, and I ate.”
