ACTS 16:6-8
6 Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia
and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the
word in the province of Asia. 7 When they came to the border of
Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would
not allow them to. 8 So they passed by Mysia and went down to
Troas.2 CORINTHIANS 2:12
12 Now when I went to Troas to preach the gospel
of Christ and found that the Lord had opened a
door for me.
1. SEEK THE GUIDANCE OF GOD.
ROMANS 8:5-6
5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature have their
minds set on what the sinful nature desires; but those who are
controlled by the Holy Spirit have their minds set on what the
Spirit desires. 6 The mind governed by the sinful nature is
death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
ACTS 16:8-10
8 So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. 9 During the night
Paul had a VISION of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him,
“Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 After Paul had seen the
vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that
God had called us to preach the gospel to them.
NUMBERS 12:6-8
6 Listen to my words: “When there is a prophet among you, I,
the LORD, reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in
dreams. 7 But this is not true of my servant Moses; he is faithful
in all my house. 8 With him I speak face to face, clearly and
not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were
you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?”
JEREMIAH 23: 25-29
25 “I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in my name. They
say, ‘I had a dream! I had a dream!’26 How long will this continue in the
hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own
minds? 27 They think the dreams they tell one another will make my people
forget my name, just as their ancestors forgot my name through Baal worship.
28 Let the prophet who has a dream recount the dream, but let the one who
has my word speak it faithfully. For what has straw to do with grain?”
declares the LORD. 29 “Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and
like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?
1 THESSALONIANS 5:19-22
9 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not treat prophecies with
contempt 21 but test them all; hold on to what is good,
22 reject every kind of evil.
